Bangladesh is a nation that often makes the global headlines for the wrong reasons (i.e. floods, overpopulation, ferry disasters…) but here the pictures convey a more balanced view of daily life in and around its capital, Dhaka.
The title of the category is an ode to a timeless song by the late, Great George Harrison who through his charitable work eased the country’s sundry pernicious struggles (especially against famine) upon its hard-fought independence from Pakistan in 1971.
Appropriately enough, the sun also figures prominently on the flag of Bangladesh (as you can see in one of the pictures in this category).
